Rapidata Services , UK partner for Artez Interactive, hosted the first Artez Interaction UK. The afternoon session at the Tate Modern in London was a huge success, attracting over 80 attendees from across the sector. Attendees discussed the latest developments in digital fundraising and social networking and how to maximize online fundraising income.
Robin Goad from Hitwise provided attendees with some valuable insight into online donor behavior and how brand recognition is vital to pushing traffic to charity websites.
Philip King demonstrated the importance of converting online donors to online fundraisers and building a network of dedicated online supporters. While Martin Gill from Comic Relief illustrated how Sports Relief Mile motivated participants to raise tons of cash, using traditional fundraising methods combined with exciting new technology from blogs to Google Mash-ups and live GPS tracking of celebrity participants.
"The event was a huge success and with registration exceeding capacity by 300% it showed how interested the UK market is in learning more when it comes to online fundraising. "
– Scott Gray, Managing Director, Rapidata
Our next event will be aimed at Directors or Fundraising, Marketing & Digital Media and will take place in early 2009. We will be hosting a series of breakfast sessions that focus on how charities can integrate online fundraising more effectively into their fundraising strategy and maximize online income.
