Some exciting new research shows that social login is the way of the future! What is social login, and what does it mean for your nonprofit?

We're excited that the Artez system allows your supporters to use their Facebook credentials to quickly register for a fundraising event or make a donation to your charitable cause.

We knew that social login would be a popular choice for your donors and registrants!

A new study from Janrain illustrates how social login is "the future" when it comes to registration options for online communities, e-commerce sites & other places that require a user to login for access.

Social login means that all it takes for a new user to register is one or two button clicks when they authorize one of their social accounts like Facebook, Twitter or Google to connect with your website. As those platforms already contain the registration information your organization might need - like name, location, or age - your new registrant doesn't have to manually enter that information over and over again.

A quick and simple user experience is sure to make your supporters happy! The better their experience, the more likely they are to donate again in the future.

Some specifics about social login:

  • 77% of social media users would prefer to use social credentials over username/password.
  • Facebook is the most popular choice for social login. Over 50% of people choose Facebook.
  • 40% of people use a "forgot password" feature once a month - yikes! No need with social login.
