Alfred Lau
Web Developer and Sales Engineer

Making a difference
Helping undergraduate students from across Canada connect with leaders in the technology industry is one of several highlights on Alfred Lau’s curriculum vitae.
As a co-chair of the Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference, the Artez web developer and sales engineer helped to organize a 3-day, 400-delegate conference for aspiring young engineers and scientists. Another volunteer initiative took Alfred to the front lines of the 2006 Toronto mayoral campaign trail, where accompanied the incumbent mayor on a citywide tour called “44 Wards in 44 Hours.” Born, raised and “running around since I was 11 years old on public transit in Toronto,” Alfred received his Bachelor in Mathematics in computer science from the University of Waterloo.
