Putting theory into practice
While at Ryerson University’s radio and television arts program, Allison Millard decided she wanted to put theory into practice. Partnering with a fellow classmate, she helped develop an interactive website for high school athletes.
“Students could watch interviews, game highlights and clips, and a coach’s corner with tips and sports trivia,” she explains. The experience prepared the Artez client relationship specialist well for her current role, in which she helps non-profit groups integrate and configure their successful online events. In her spare time, Allison has helped raise funds for a children’s hospital through the Heat Wave Beach Volleyball tournament.
