Karl Baader
Technical Architect

A life of firsts
Karl Baader has lived a life of firsts. He was born in the German town of Giengen an der Brenz, the birthplace of the first original Steiff teddy bear.
Later, Karl became the first to graduate with a computer science and process engineering degree from University of Stuttgart, which was the first German university to offer such a joint program.
And when Karl packed his bags and arrived in Canada on October 23, 1993, it was coincidently the same day the Toronto Blue Jays captured their first back-to-back World Series title. When asked about what everyone should know about him, the Artez technical architect proudly declares: “I am not the only non-smoking, non-drinking, vegetarian German!”
